Maryland Trails: Strategic Implementation Plan--
A Survey of Trail Users, Trail Advocates & Professionals Working in the Field of Trail Development.

Welcome and thank you for contributing to the first Maryland Trails: Strategic Implementation Plan (TSIP). This plan is being developed by the Maryland Department of Transportation with cooperation from the state departments of Natural Resources, Business and Economic Development, Planning, and Health, and the Maryland Municipal League and Maryland Association of Counties. For more information about the plan visit the MDOT website at: http://www.marylandtransportation.com/Planning/TSIP/index.html

Your viewpoints about trail usage and development will help inform this strategic plan and guide Maryland's efforts to create a world class trail system that can be used by millions for both recreation and transportation.

For the purposes of this survey the term multi-use trail is defined as a paved or unpaved path that is designed and managed for use by bicyclists, walkers, runners, people using assistive devices and in-line skaters (if paved). It may be located in a park, stream valley or other natural area, residential subdivision, along an abandoned rail line or adjacent to a road or highway.

Takes about five minutes to complete the survey. Hopefully our fair state will make good use of the info gathered.
