Hi there! I'm looking to purchase my first road bike. I have my eye on the Specialized Dolce (48 cm) or the Trek 1.2 (47 or 50 cm). I'm having a hard time finding any available in my area at this time!

Zen- lots of manu's have run out of 08's, and the 09's aren't in yet.
We are having a heck of a time with Felt, and Giant is just starting to trickle in with 09's.
Tho I heard Specialized had plenty o bikes?? so hmm???? :confused:

When I was on the hunt for a Specialized mountain bike, the shops around here were all out and couldn't order any. I finally found one in stock 50 miles away, but apparently they're short too.

Zen - I've been around to all the shops in my area and they are all out of anything in my size...waiting to get the 2009's in. The only ones I've found have been far away, and being a first time rider, if I'm going to buy new, I'd like to buy from a shop I can return to easily (not a far drive) to ask questions, get help, meet other riders, etc.

I'll keep looking on here and in stores - thanks for all the information!

I have a used (like new) 2006 Specialized 13" Women's Rockhopper Comp for sale. Only ridden off road 2 or 3 times. I learned I'm more of a roadie.

I'm looking for a x-small cyclocross bike for trail riding and commuting.
