http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/local/baltimore_city/bal-arrest0814,0,1390400.story

A man suspected of selling drugs from a bicycle and who tried to get away from a police officer who confronted him was hit by a car yesterday when he darted into traffic on Greenmount Avenue, authorities said.

The man, who police did not identify, appeared to have suffered several injuries after rolling onto the hood of a black Pontiac sedan, crashing into its windshield and collapsing near the center of Greenmount, near East North Avenue. He was transported to an area hospital under police guard.

The incident occurred about 6 p.m. when police said they received a complaint and description of a man selling drugs from a bicycle. Police said they identified a possible suspect by using the police department's surveillance cameras situated along Greenmount Avenue.

When a uniformed patrol officer walked up to the suspect to question him, the man sped away on his bicycle, police said, and was struck by a woman driving a Pontiac north on Greenmount Avenue.
