Does anyone know where I could find the little piece that attaches the tail light to the rear rack (the really bendy one)? Mine broke and I have scoured internet but without any luck :p

Any help/advice would be much appreciated! :D

Thanks!

How about Ebay...they have everything! I would also check a local sporting goods store, such as Dicks. They should be able to find you one.

I'd call peter white and see if he can help you. He has all sorts of light mounts - how does that piece attach, anyway? Seems like you would have to weld it on?

It attaches through the tiny holes on the top with a screw/nut/bolt :)

Could you make one from a stainless steel blank from a hardware store? SS blanks come in all sizes, and are pretty easy to cut or drill. I fashioned a fender bracket from one.

Ah - that makes sense:)

I wonder if you could use a rack support - lots of racks come with multiple supports, and my lbs usually has lots of them left over...

Good luck!

What are these things of which you speak? :) Where would I find one (hardware store, bike store, etc)?

They're just little strips of stainless steel, about 12" long, and in different widths and gauges. My fender bracket is made from a 1/2"-wide piece. My local hardware store has them over with the screws and bolts and such. I would think that Home Depot or Lowes would have them as well, but I don't know exactly where in a store that big.

Ah, I see. So they bend readily? The part I'm looking for is quite bendy :p

Thanks!

So they bend readily?

Yep, depending on the width and gauge, of course.

Lowes or Home Depot - get a piece of angle braclet - very cheap

Well I went to the hardware store to find an angled bracket (with the help of the staff) but on my own found something perfect: a two hole strap, size 1/2"

It's intended to fasten pipes to the wall but it's the perfect shape! :D

Yay, I'm so excited.

Now if only the cover hadn't fallen off of my tail light when it broke off while I was riding and went skidding across the pavement.... :( I went back twice to look for it but couldn't find it :p

I can't decide what tail light to get now that I have all kinds of options. I'm leaning toward the blinding planet bike superflash. Now I'm tempted to get a headlight/tail light set because my head light just went out too (I think it's just the batteries but if I'm upgrading the tail light, then...) :)
