I've had a Saris Bones 3-bike rack, as well as a Saris 8-foot locking cable, for over 6 years. The lock for the cable has always been a little funky, in that I have to make sure it's secure when I lock it, because one time it actually fell off, but fortunately it happened in my garage, so I was able to find it.

On Sunday I was driving home to Chicago from a weekend bike trip in Northern Indiana (about 150 miles each way). I pulled on the lock a dozen times to make sure it was secure. After driving 100 miles, I checked the bikes/rack/cable, and the lock was still there. By the time I got home, the lock was gone!

I called Saris yesterday in the hopes that I could buy a new lock, since I still had the cable. Well, they told me they were sending me a whole new cable and lock, at no charge, and I received it today! That's what I call great customer service.

I had a similar experience with Saris a couple of years ago. I was very, very impressed!
