Okay, so there I was picking up my bike from a tune up, and my favorite bike guy is there. Hey, what do think about this bike? I was thinking of a new frame. I've put all these new things on, carbon bars, new wheels and dura ace cassette. Yeah!!!! I NEED a new frame. So..... I now have an 09 roubaix pro with new S-works cassette coming. Holy s***, I need a cardboard sign for the intersection. Pencil anyone? Hi... my name is Laurel and I'm a bike addict.

Yeah - those bike shop guys know just who to target, don't they? They see me coming a mile away. "So, I might have a 51cm Jamis Xenith Pro coming in next week", he said. "No pressure, it would be good to have a higher end bike on the floor", he said. This the day after DH leaked to him that I'd been drooling over it on the website. They know me - as if there were ANY chance that I wouldn't pull out the ol' plastic. (No, Zen - you cannot have my card it unless you intend to pay for my bike, which will be on the next statement).

Congrats on the new ride!

cool. I just put all new Dura Ace components on my bike this weekend:D... and I too have new wheels. My frame is good so far... but in a few years, that will be an upgrade too:p

Congrats on the new bling!:D

I was all set to buy a new bike, even had the money saved up. While flying out to San Diego I saw one of those True Life shows on MTV (listen, it was a long flight and Jet Blue only gives you so many channels;) ). It was something like "I'm a compulsive shopper". Yeah, I identified a lot with them and suddenly I didn't feel like buying that bike when I got back. But that didn't stop me from buying a dress, a book, and a new camera out there:p Congrats on the new bike, that's going to be a beauty!
