Northern California’s most fun, family-friendly weekend of bicycle riding and racing, centered around the trails, lakes, hills, and history of Folsom.
Plans are well underway for Folsom’s first annual Cyclebration bike festival to be held September 12-14 centered around Negro Bar State Park. Folsom will attract a large number of Northern California bicycle enthusiasts for a weekend of riding, racing and entertainment.
The three-day event will feature a Friday evening kick-off event including a MTB and BMX Freeride Dirtjump Competition at Cummings Family Park and a Road Bike and a Mountain Bike Time Trial. Saturday’s events include a Gold Rush Century, Family Treasure Hunt, a Cyclocross at Negro Bar, a Mountain Bike Race, a Challenge Criterium and even a Cruiser Ride. Sunday’s highlight will be a Two Bridges circuit race across the Rainbow Bridge and Lake Natoma Crossing as well as a skills clinic.
Additional activities include a festival and cycling expo with entertainment, food booths, vendors, Lake Natoma water activities including kayaks, bicycle stunt demonstrations, and fun races for kids.
