I am dealing with numbness in my right leg which seems to be related to riding. It isn't painful. It is either my vastus lateralis or the tensor fascia latae. I had a deep muscle therapeutic massage yesterday and the therapist thought it could be sciatica. I researched that and the symptoms don't jive with what I'm feeling. The outside of my right leg is numb down to my knee all the time. I'm thinking it is related to riding. Anyone else experience this? Could it be my saddle? I have a Terry Fly, which I love but if it is causing this, it has got to go. How about the pedals? SPD is what I have. I would love to hear any and all suggestions. I have my first 100k coming up in 7 weeks. The only fear I have is my leg numbness! Otherwise, I'm sure I could do the miles. This is really important to me as I'm 5 months post cancer treatment and finally starting to see my strength come back, along with the endurance. Help!

Is your seat straight (as in not pointing slightly off to one side)?

Are you sitting it evenly?

Is it the correct height?

Anybody else?

P.S. I had sciatica when I was a runner and I did have numbness... and a lot of pain, all the time. Went to an accupunturist... never had the problem again.
