Looks like Edouard is knocking on your door. Anyone leaving the area before landfall?

Thoroughly enjoyed the cool north wind yesterday. Didn't even break a sweat taking Nala for a walk last evening. Today it's cloudy here in the Big Easy. Looks like he should come ashore south of Houston and head WNW. The very coastal areas of Louisiana had high seas, rain wasn't an issue. Some of the off-shore oil platforms were evacuated, especially in the western part of the state (LA).

Nope, not leaving this time - so we usually don't leave unless mandatory evacuation is called. The house is in a very protected location, in fact it survived several hurricanes totally undamaged. Right now it's raining like crazy, and the winds are starting to pick up. I hope we are not going to get a lot of flooding - most of the time the streets around here start flooding right away... :(

One forecaster said it may be 8 inches of rain in the TX area. TXDoc, sending you prayers.
