My brother sent me this, it looks interesting, but not. I am going to check this store out in the next few days.

Yeah... I just saw them reviewed in one of the magazines.

Now if I can just find it...

Ahhh! Found it. In ROADIE International, the spring 2005 issue (Has Floyd Landis on his bike in profile on cover) on page 28 is the review/test.

Is it just me or aren't they kind of heavy for that price?

Are you calculating the weight of an existing pedal + cleat?

This replaces both pieces of a standard clip-in. But yes it may be heavier than some.

The article I read treated the weight issue as marginal compared to the power gain and lowered profile of the rider.

Yep, just weighed Look Delta cleats (in the package). So, Look Keo chro mo with cleats are about 340 for retail $220.

Even my cheapie Look PP206 with cleats are about 440 for $70.

30 grms savings for $210 dollars expense. $7 per gram of savings. I think I'll refrain from eating a cookie or two and take it off the hips. Heck, then I won't even have the expense of the cookie.

Not sure about having the pedal mounted to your shoe when you're walking around. I think I'd get in the inside sections caught on each other. You'd have to develop a snowshoer's stride for off the bike.

or put wheels on them and skate?

I don't know... looks kinda interesting to me. But then I am a gear-head and love new toys.

For those of you that haven't taken a look yet, here's a pic. The little wheel thingy is what screws to the crank... it's the "pedal". The other piece mounts to your shoe (flat for walking).
