This is just icky. I freegin ride around there! Yuck, yuck, yuck! Of course this girl is much prettier than I am, so my fat butt probably isn't at risk. I think if I were in her shoes the phone would have been an after thought. I would have chased him, passed and brake checked the jerk. Maybe sacrificed my frame pump and stuck it between his spokes. Perhaps I have anger issues, but this is just skeezy.

I guess having the 10 month old in tow didn't add to the difficulty;) I think saying she is an "Accomplished" cyclist is the understatement of the year...

Boulder is the land of the super fit (myself not included), so I'm not shocked she was able to catch up to him that way, baby and cell phone and all. Plus that's not right in the city proper, so no lights and frequent intersections for him to lose her.

I can't even conceive of what went through this guy's head to do something like this. I guess "Hey, I can cop a feel and I'll never get caught."

smurf, I don't know what you look like, but I think this sort of crap has more to do with "getting away with something" than actual attraction ... but what do I know ... I can't even begin to understand why someone would do this ... I mean, he didn't do it on a whim -- he actually went *back* so he could do it! WTF!

Are you kidding?
He's the one with anger issues.
When a man sexually attacks a woman it has little if anything to do with sex and everything to do with control issues.
What's really skeezy here is this guy is such a loser he chose someone who he thought would be absolutely powerless.

Adrenaline is a better drug than steroids.

imagine being enough of a pig to do that to a woman with a baby on her bike!

YUCK!!!

(but good for her for chasing!)

yeah, smurf, what's it got to do with her looks? the AH couldn't really see what she looked like... only that she was female with a BABY ew...

What a loser.

Good for her for chasing him and calling the police. Of course, he shouldn't be back loose on society IMO.

Very disturbing. Good for her, she reacted so well!! But I can't imagine why she chose to release her name and a picture of herself.....I hope this guy is harmless!!!!

Somebody sign this woman to a team! :D Send her to the Olympics. Giving chase to a guy, while hauling a kid while staying in an aerobic zone low enough to talk in full sentences to the police.

"Dude, you're under arrest and you've been "chicked" or whatever they call it when a gal passes you. You have the right to give up cycling, if you cannot afford to ride better a cycling probation officer will be provided for you ..."

And Dude, it's like mother bears, you know how you don't get between a mom bear and her cub? You not only don't assault riders, women or anyone for that matter but if you mess with a Mom with a kid. There's no telling what will happen to you. He's lucky he's just arrested not worse.

Yuck. What a creep! And impressive that she was able to chase him like that, although really it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do (however, can't say I wouldn't be tempted to do it if something like this happened to me--maybe not with a kid though).

Bueno said she wasn’t afraid of the man who grabbed her, and that the experience of running him down was “empowering.” http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/happy/happy0065.gif (http://www.mysmiley.net)

Bueno, a Gunbarrel resident, said she noticed a man wearing a helmet, dark sunglasses and khaki shorts pass her without so much as a second glance

Wow, criminal wears helmet. When do you hear that??

The dude is more than a loser. But SHE is awesome.

I found the story very empowering. I'm so glad they nabbed the freak. Of course, fighting back is not always the best policy, but this time it worked!

True, it's not a looks thing, but I enjoy being self deprecating and it consoles me because it's a pretty area to ride in.

What bugs me is all the people in the comments going off about how she endangered her child. Um, yeah not really. She kept off him, and the biggest danger obviously was over.

I say good for her, she kicked butt so that girls like myself maybe won't have to deal with jerks like this.

she is my new hero. but, i probably would have tried to 'accidently' done some damage to the freak first.
