I just bought some Nunn, that I plan to use on my cycling trip in the Berkshires.I am tired of drinking my calories, getting an upset stomach, and feeling like I need something else on long hot rides. I can get my carbs and protein from food!
My question is that the directions for use say one tablet for 16 ounces. Is one tablet enough for a 20 oz. bottle? This is probably a dumb question, since the difference is only 4 ounces, but I want to make sure I am getting the best results.

i use it for a 20 oz bottle.
I don't think it should be a problem. Be warned that the stuff is a little fizzy for a bit after the tablet dissolves, but the fizz does dissipate within probably twenty minutes.

I only use 1/2 a tablet...I'm not a huge fan of the fizz.

Second what Jolt said! You'll want to leave your bottle lid off or the valve open for at least 20 minutes so that nothing "explodes". The Camelbak Elixier tabs are even worse for that.

I used the Nunn tablets on my rides in the Berkshires this weekend. I had no issues with fizzing. I took the cold bottles out of the fridge, popped the tabs in and off we went. I waited the 2 minutes before taking a drink, but other than that, no explosions. I love the fizzy taste. It's like club soda with a splash of juice. They worked well in fairly hot weather, challenging climbs, rides of 53 and 30 miles. I used Shot Blocks to supplement.

Where are Nunn tablets sold? Only on the Nunn website or also in LBSs?
Thanks!
Emily, who doesn't get to an LBS very often
You can get them at places like EMS as well.

Eastern Mountain Sports.
I don't think they are in the south, but REI probably has them. I bought one tube at EMS to test them, but will order on line, as they are cheaper.

Nope, no EMS here in the southeast. I'm an REI member, though. Interesting that they'd be cheaper online -- usually with shipping costs for something that isn't discounted, it's cheaper to buy locally. I'll either order online or look at REI next time I'm there. Thanks!
