I'm working with a series of blue paintings lately and thought I'd share a pic of one of my works.

I sorta thought the same thing -- "What kind of blood disorder gives you a BLUE period??" I was pleasantly surprised to see your wonderful blue painting. I agree with others -- I'd love to see more. I'm a lover of all things art.

Salsa, I post new pics almost quarterly. I don't post everything because I try to limit the number of images on my website since I can't protect them from dishonest folks. I may have to look into a software that protects the images from being copied, saved, or printed.

Er...yea, saw this one in London last October. http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/cgi-bin/WebObjects.dll/CollectionPublisher.woa/wa/work?workNumber=L9 I wanted to stand in front of it and stare lots longer, but my family was already heading to the next room. The Van Goghs were stunning, speaking of missing ears...could have spent weeks in there.

One of my favorite prints is Albrecht Durer's Meloncolia (http://www.alchemylab.com/melancholia.htm). Durer always had a sense of humor, even during his period of feeling the blues. The expression on the angel is priceless. I can attest many a times I've sat in my studio bumfuzzled and frustrated over a painting that fizzled out.

Thank you everyone. :) I enjoy working in blues--it's a nice departure from the warm tones. My favorite blue color is Prussian blue. It's very moody, deep and mysterious.
