You guys I am so home sick right now! It is starting to effect my moods. I do get to go home this week but only for 2 1/2 days. I am keeping so busy you would think i wouldn't have time to be sad about it.
I wake up in the morning and have to drag myself out of bed. I don't know why it is so hard this year. Or maybe this is normal for me and I just don't realize it.
We have had so many visits with friends and family while we have been here. Gone to dinner a lot and done a lot of side things besides work. But I just want home. I was so not into crowds yesterday.
And one day at the fair a guy ran into ME and dropeed his beer and then called me a b*tch for it. When he ran into me! I would be mad to that I dropped my beer since they cost $8.00 at the fair but it wasn't my fault! Sighhhhhh:(

I feel for you Brandi, there is no amount of visits or dinners that can make up for HOME. I'll send you some warm home vibes to wrap around you today. :)

I thought I would drop in and wish you some relaxing, peaceful time at home. Turn off the phone and the doorbell and forget the rest of the outside world but do something or many things for you.

Dorothy was right, there's no place like home :p

So it's YOUR fault a Bubba is guilty of alcoholic abuse? Maybe karma is telling him he didn't need that one.

Warm fuzzy thought, big zen hugs - or we can send Zen to you to administer the hugs in person! Hope you get to feeling better soon. It's been a rough year. Light some candles, pet a dog or cat or rabbit, have a bubble bath. Or go get a massage!

Brandi, sending you a big cyber hug now. I'll put on a fresh pot of jasmine tea and wish that you will be home in a jiffy.

If it wasn't for you, people wouldn't be as privileged to enjoy fine art.

Brandi, being away from home makes you appreciate it more! Sounds like you had a bad day....

I bet the jerk with the beer ended up: 1. making a fool of himself in front of folks he wanted to impress; 2. passing out somewhere unfortunate; 3. hurling in public; 4. having a horrible hangover.

I used to travel overseas for work. Not so great places, so the homesickness was even more acute by the lack of every day amenities like safe-to-drink water. Made me appreciate all the small but wonderful things about home.

Yeah, there's no place like home. But there's also not many jobs that can be as much fun as yours, even if it does mean a lot of travel. Sending some mirror-winged butterflies that can turn your view of crowds of bubbas into crowds of clowns, viewed as from a distance. After all, you don't have to live with those bubbas. You can afford to shake your head with knowing amusement and pity their poor girlfriends/wives. Meanwhile, they're paying admission to watch you work and see your creations. Kinda cool, huh? I bet they wish they had your job rather than pumping gas day in and day out, or selling insurance, or ... whatever.

I have a friend here at the fair named Sparkle (her clown name) and she is a really pretty clown (not scary) and she roller skates by the sculpture everyday with the most amazing bubbles that float by me. It makes me smile. Also because she is so nice. She is married to Ravioli the clown. You mentioned clowns and it made me think of them ha!

Thank you everyone for your words to help me through this. I wish i had more then 2 days home before I have to go again but I also have to remind myself this is temporary. it is so funny I had a very good friend of mine call me last night crying needing my support for the same exact thing. She is on the road with her band. Which is all guys. And her crew is all guys. She has a great tour bus but can never get far enough away for some alone time. And she was a bit drunk. I told her she would be ok and she needed to watch the drinking cause that was not helping her at all. And I told her to remember it is temporary. and just to ignore the boys. Then I told her I loved her. All that seemed to help. So I thank all of you for your words at least I am not surrounded by guys. It made me grateful to talk to my friend and realize my situation is not all that bad.
