Hey guys. I'm trying to find info on a ride I heard about in So Cal called One Eighty West. I can't find anything on the internet about it, but have been assured that it does exist. I'm waiting to get an email back from the person who told me about it, but wonder if anyone here has any info. It's in September, but I don't know the date. I think it starts somewhere around Long Beach and heads to Yorba Linda and I'm not sure what else.
Maybe the name is wrong?
Thanks.
I gave a cursory glance here (http://www.at-la.com/@la-bike.htm#ride) and didn't see it.
But that doesn't mean it's not there :o

THANK YOU!!!!!! :D
I had a feeling I'd hear from you. Tom (of Tom and Mary Lou fame) told me about it like a month ago at a club ride, but by the time I got home I couldn't remember the name. I knew it was a "number" and the word "west". I searched and searched the internet to no avail. I emailed him and finally got a reply telling me it was oneeightwest.com ...but it's not. I then searched by that name ... and searched and searched. He kept saying he was going to post it on the club website, but never did. This has been driving me CRAZY!!!!
So, I'm totally excited about this ride. I was going to do the Cool Breeze century, but I think I'll do the 62 mile metric instead and do the One Eight West Century for my first century on my single. Alex and I are also doing Amtrak on the tandem a couple of weeks before, so I'll be all trained up. :)
Are you doing Amtrak, Cool Breeze and/or One Eight West?
Thanks again, Fredwina!

I waited too long for cool Breeze, and I was just out there this weekend:o, so I'm doing a brevet from San Diego to San Clemente that weekend.
Amtrak was a little too much for my budget (about $80)
I'm probably am i going to d0 180 west.
