Ooooh, that is quite spiffy! I keep wondering if a tandem would work for us, there's a nine inch height difference so I'm not sure.

My husband is greatly opposed to a tandem but I would love to see what on earth could fit us. He is just a hair over 6'2", I barely make it to 5'2". I imagine a tandem for that combination would like like one set up for an adult and kid. My road bike is 47 cm, his is a 58 cm, when side by side it looks like his had a baby bike. :D

I should post a picture of the tandem that's in our bike room. The husband is at least 6'5", the wife is about 5'. They've got two custom tandems and ride together to work every day.

I'm trying to figure out the drivetrain on that. It looks like a singlespeed, but it looks like there is a 2nd ring for the stoker.

Though, for all I know, that may be how tandems are set up.

That's how tandems are set up. The "gears" are on the stoker's pedals and on the rear wheel. Then, there's a ring (usually on the other side) with a chain that keeps the stoker and captain's pedals in sync. Of course, there are some that allow independent coasting, etc. But I haven't seen one:)

That photo has been somewhat Photoshopped.

The saturation level must be about +40, notice the unnatural grass color and the amount of yellow in it.

Still a nice bike, tho.

That would be the timing chain. :)

Zen, that's what was bothering me! The saturation. It's actually a little bilious on my screen.

Here it is. (It looks weird because it's hanging from the wall and I tilted the camera to make it horizontal.)
