...apparently...just try to throw water on him while he's racing up a small hill
Dutch rider Niki Terpstra (sp?) was less than pleased in today's stage 13. Funny that the commentators didn't say a word...didn't pause their discussion or anything..
Sorry the picture is wavy...I just snapped it off the television.

Nice job with the TV snap!
It was such a quick gesture that I wasn't sure I saw it right!

Gotta love the DVR. I wonder if that'll be covered with a fuzzy circle at primetime?

I'm surprised there aren't more shots like that. Will Frischkorn's VeloNews Rider's Diary described a few real doozy idiots (http://www.velonews.com/article/80351) along today's course.
Does anyone else yell at the tv for the stupid fans to get out of the way, or am I the only one?

+1. Those fans make me very nervous.

That's funny! I can't wait to watch the DVR today and look for it.

Me, too. But sometimes I root for the cyclists to take the fans out- you know- just run them right over or swat at them with their hands. Not hurt them, just hurl them off to the side of the road (but we all know who'd really get hurt).
Especially the mountain stages, I'm yelling at the TV... those crazy Basques.

I imagine it would take more than a little water to get that kind of response, don't you think? I always imagine some of those screaming fans are screaming bad things about their mothers, too.
The fans scare me to death, too. And the motorcycles. The other day one of them went over a curb while live on-air and it was scary!

Did anyone catch Jens Voigt mugging for the camera during yesterday's stage? It was pretty funny. It was kind of early on in the race and the peloton was really not working that hard. Suddenly Jens realizes the camera is pointed at him (must have been a motorcycle?) and starts pedaling like mad, bouncing up and down, sticking out his tongue as though it was a mad sprint. Then he starts riding normally again, looks over at the camera, and grins. Then starts pedaling madly again.
Such a ham.
I like Jens Voigt.

Such a ham.
I saw that. A few in the peleton were in rare form yesterday. I was thinking, ah, the silly things you do when you're out for a casual spin, averaging 24 mph!:D
Oh...and we were surprised to see...the evening re-broadcast showed the bird fly again. No editing it out!

It looked like ice to me. Not a good thing to throw.
