is she makes me laugh. I can't help it... swimming in poo, being loyal like a dog.
Plus I think it's so cool how her students look up to her as super athlete.

:o
wow. thanks!
okay I will give it a whirl....
Jobob - makes me examine my priorities and ask myself what's really important to me.
SadieKate - is a wise and patient teacher of the technical and unfamiliar who doesn't mind occasionally having to repeat herself to those of us with some ADHD (also a marvellous host and tour guide).
Snap - makes me laugh out loud. A lot. Such that I might call attention to myself and make people worry.
Veronica - is amazingly determined.
Salsabike - has a huge amount of compassion (and also gave me a book once that made me cry. In a good way.)
CA - is loyal, to a fault, I think.

The best thing about SadieKate is that she is not afraid to speak her mind, and that she is so willing to share her vast store of knowledge about bikes as machines. She also makes me laugh.

The best thing about Zen is once I figured her sarcasm out she makes me laugh all the time. Snap too, damn those ladies are funny!
SadieKate and Knot are the best source of knowledge on cassettes, bikes, sun protection. I have learned so much.
Veronica, MP and JoBob make me feel I can do anything as I sit in awe of their rides. I never knew how in awe I was until I drove Mt Tam!
And the best thing about everyone is the humor, insight and caring.

I don't know any of you all personally (although I met a few of you briefly.).. but I have to say, that every one of you are extremely giving of your time and always willing to help out when there are questions or concerns. It is really amazing.
You all are supportive of us no matter what level we are at, and no matter how silly our questions may seem!
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
Oh, and Zen, you do crack me up!

Bleeker St. Girl is the funniest person I know. And, I think she speaks her mind more than I do, which is good.
Deb W. knows more about bikes than anyone I know.
Jolt is the fastest hiker I've ever met (of course, she is young enough to be my daughter).

Mr. S and Silver are two of the most grounded, well reasoned folks on the boards. They always have a kind word and a funny story:) And Mr. S knows just when to jump into the fray 'round here, and when to stay out:)
MP was the first to make me believe I could have a career and do crazy things on a bike:)

Nice thread. :)
Heck, I just think you're all great in your own unique ways. I don't post as much as I used to, but I still watch the boards, and have observed how they morph, by accommodating and welcoming each new member. What stays constant, though, is the kindness and community of this place, and that's what keeps me here. When someone is in crisis, it's amazing how many people come out of the woodwork to post their encouragements.
For those I have met in person, I think you're all wonderful. Snap, Jobob, SK, MP, V, Trek, CindySue, BikeGoddess, Z, Badger (I know you as that), among others too many to list -- thanks for the good times, the things in common, and for your friendship.

I know I have not posted a whole lot. Sometimes when I come to the computer I don't know what to say to you all. Sometimes I wonder if I have a boring life. I don't want to bring my problems on to this board and make someones life not good.
Forgive me for rambling....
When I read the posts and when I post, all present have taught me a whole lot about different cycling things, ideas and good general knowledge. For this I am greatfull. I also appreaciate the caring and concern of all here on this board. This is a great community. May we all continue to be postive influences to each other.

Well, I was experimenting with how to do this. I figured everyone had enough of my face. So time for a change.
Actually this is a picture from the National Park Service of Zion National Park. This is one of the local parks just about a 45 drive from where I live here in Southern Utah.
I few years ago my husband and I rode our bikes through the canyon there for our anniversary. For the Geology nuts this is Navajo sandstone-the red rock. The white rock formation has a name, but I cannot remember it. The rock combonations around here are wonderful. In the higher elevations you get the evergreens and the combonations are to die for.
Welcome to Southwestern Utah!

The best thing about KnottedYet is how joyously comfortable she is in her own skin---I love that, it's not easy to achieve, and it always reminds me to do the same.

Boy it is hard to just pick a few to be grateful for.......Everyone here is so compassionate and supportive. We all in some way seem to have a common bond of sorts. So I have to choose notto pick a few to write about but to pick all of you.
I have had a chance to meet a few of you in person but most online. I have not had a bad experience with any. I think you are all the best!
It would be fun if a central place could be picked for all to meet at. I am sure this has gotten brought up before? It would be fun though.

Best smile by far: Jobob.+1!
I just found this thread. Gosh, durn, thanks. My list of good things about so many people would take all day to type and I'm supposed to be working.
Maybe I'll just have to pop in with random stuff.
Zen - completely dependable for launches from left field.
MP - for making me laugh so hard I was crying during our engrish duel.
akaKim - for her charming whining as she steadily climbs whatever (but not so much for the pseudo-competition with Bubba cause I have to live with his "practice" sessions :D).
