It's funny how we see all the bad things about us, but rarely celebrate the best parts of ourselves.
So come out and celebrate. What's the best thing about you?

Great question! Thank you for asking it!
I don't know if it's my best trait, or just one that I particularly like in myself, but I admire how determined I am. I work hard at the things that matter to me--at work, in my community, on my bike, in relationships, and perhaps most importantly, in my own personal and emotional growth. I grew up in an very unhappy home and decided a while ago that, whatever it took, I would make my own life work for me. Each year, I get a little bit better at fully actualizing that. And let me tell you, the better you are at loving yourself, the better you are at loving others. It's a win/win.
I'm proud of me. :D
What about you, Veronica?

im a gud speler.
I can see that. :)
Genetics gave me a great back and good shoulders when I think about my posture; as well as a high pain tolerance.
I'm a good cook, a compassionate but not enabling teacher, and a tenacious athlete.

I am fiercely loyal and just plain fierce......I am a good teacher, I was a good daughter and a good friend. Loyal to the end...better than a dog!
I can see that. :)

;)
For a real answer I would say the best thing about me is that I'm loyal.

This is a great thread, V! It's good to remember the good things about who we are, and I need to be reminded of that sometimes.
I'm starting a journal where at the end of each day I'll list 3 good things that happened. That way I can focus on the good, and try not to dwell on the bad.
The BEST thing about me physically are my legs. They are bigger/heavier than I'd like them to be, but they are defined and strong, and my calves are nice.
The BEST thing about me as a person is that I've got a big heart, and I can make most people laugh (mostly I make myself crack up- but I'm someone, huh?). :D

My close friends seem to appreciate that I shoot straight. I think they know to ask for advice only when they really want it because they won't hear sugar coating. They all say I give great advice, funny thing is I think it is terrible!
I am also a good cookie maker and try hard to be thoughtful and remember my family in everything.

And I love deeply.
What's the best thing about you?
Gosh, I don't know where to start! :o
I'll get back to you...

I'm a really good student--I like to listen hard and work hard at using what I hear and see to get better. And I really like learning new things.

I adapt well..
I want to say I'm adaptable but i've never actually heard it said in that manner. I've always heard with an adverb along side it..

My daddy always said to me, with so much admiration that I can still feel it, "Karen Ann, you're something else."
That's the best thing about me. I'm something else.

I'm tenacious. er... is that a good thing or a bad thing?
I'd like to think I have a good sense of humor, although it is a bit dry.

I dunno. Seriously, at this time in life...I really kinda wonder where I am going or what my strongest points are.
But I do end up walking down certain, unforeseen alleyways in life...so maybe that's it....I'm a risk-taker who tries to be simultaneously smart and trusting.
Makes sense? :p:o

Nice thread, V!
My daddy always said to me, with so much admiration that I can still feel it, "Karen Ann, you're something else."
That gave me the chills, Karen. Very nice memory to carry with you for life!
Let's see... I am committed to a healthy life despite the genetics running so strongly against me, and I truly want to bring others along with me!
Though I only keep very few CLOSE friends, I am deeply loyal and committed to them for a lifetime.
I give of myself, usually to a fault. And of my pocketbook!:o
I am committed to being the best I can be at my job -- I truly care about the clients and their pets, and try hard to make that felt by them, no matter how short on time I might be.
I run late ALWAYS... just part of being me. I have to embrace it!
Oh... and I have to agree with the "I have strong thighs"!
I can fly, have x-ray vision, and can make myself invisible.

Yes, but do you succumb to Kryptonite? I don't!
As long as I have my tinfoil hat I'm fine :)

Zen: EXCELLENT PHOTO. I'm going to try that on my dog. Maybe that will help her hear me!? Oooh. maybe that works on DH also? Will see.
