View Full Version : Waterbottle with drinking hose
Hi,
I am not sure if I have seen it on TE... I am looking for the hose/straw (looks like the hose from the camelpak ) with attachment, which fit's any water bottle.
The company sipaway sells it with the water bottle, I would like to buy it without, then I really have enough of this plastic things...
Just an idea how it looks like:

Maybe somebody knows or has a better idea?
Thanks

maybe you could just yank the sliding part of the valve off a normal bottle or just cut it off, or use this nalgene bottle (http://www.rei.com/product/776180) and cut a hole in the rubber seal. Then buy a replacement hose from camelbak or nalgene (I like their valve better personally). Make sure the hose goes to the bottom of the bottle and you might need an extension to get there- again, I think both companies sell extensions. Then I'd go to staples or the container store and get those velcro cable tie things to velcro the hose along the frame. Not sure how I'd handle the excess hose required to get from the handlebars to your mouth- keep it from flapping around... I'll keep thinking about that one.
Hope this helps get you going.

I'm just wondering how you would keep bacteria or mold from growing in the tube- how would one clean it properly?

It comes with a cleaning thingy and instructions. Just like cleaning a camelbak I assume.
