Anyone done a trip on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railr (http://www.cumbrestoltec.com/)oad? We are thinking about doing it on our vacation but at $75/person I am wondering if it is worth it. Seems like a really cool experience and I have never been on a train (except the one at Disneyworld :)).

It is quite beautiful up there. The nostalgia of a steam engine at that elevation is wonderful. I would say that it does not quite compare to the train in Durango that goes up to Silverton, but it is much less commercialized. New Mexico isn't as commercialized in general. I enjoyed it. Really little kids might get bored. $75 is kinda pricey, but whatever the market will bear...
Not much to eat up there in Chama- save your appetite for Santa Fe.
