I'm looking for a program to get ready for a sprint duathlon this summer. Any ideas? I don't know if I should just go to the bookstore and buy a book or if there's a tried and tested one that someone here knows of. I'm a cyclist and I run a little. I'm not at all a water person so my husband's suggestion of a tri is absolutely out! lol! But I do think I would enjoy a duathlon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Although I am training for a olympic distance triathlon, I read the Triathletes
Training Bible and it is filled with several training programs. It seems that 2/3
of your race will be running. Two days a week you should do a brick workout. For example, run 3 miles bike 15 miles on Tuesday. Bike 12 miles and run 6 miles on Thurday. Mondays do some speedwork. Wednesday run
6 miles. Friday bike 15 miles. Saturday run 8 to 12 miles long slow run and
Sunday do a long bike ride say 40 miles. The endurance run and bikes really
improve you fitness level and allow you to improve.

Hope that this not too aggressive as I am not sure what you are doing on
a weekly basis.
