Hi All,
New to the site and helping out a female friend build a Ti bike for her. This will be an upgrade to her Specialized Dolce and specifically told me that she wanted a Ti frame. The only Company I've found was Litespeed Bella and cheapest frameset is $1899. She has a budget of $2000 for the frameset. Is there any other company that makes Ti WSD frame out there. Oh and she stands about 5'1 95lbs. Thank you

Look at the Merlin Camena. Melissam just bought one and she's about that height or maybe shorter.:)

The Seven Alaris (http://www.sevencycles.com/road_detail.php?bike=alaris)has a frame price a bit over her budget....but then, it's a Seven and would be completely custom for her. A custom bike wouldn't be "WSD" but would be rider specific (http://www.sevencycles.com/buildingbike/customization/womensbikes.php) - which, given her size, would be a great way to go.
I highly recommend Seven (http://www.sevencycles.com/home.php).

No idea what the price but Titus has long been focused on women riders.

I was looking at this site also - any idea how much is Camena custom fitted for her?

On Sunday I found out that I'm only 60.5". I didn't even make it to 5'1". OTOH, I weigh a bit more than 95 pounds. :o

Anyway, the Merlin Camena XS fits me very well -- maybe a little better than my 47cm Trek 5200 WSD.

nismosr, you might have your friend take a look at Habanero bikes. They could probably make a custom titanium frame at a price within her budget.

Happy shopping!

Are you doing yoga regularly? You might make 60.75". :D

I'll put it on my list of things to do. ;)

- Melissa (who used to think she was 5'2" -- now *that* was a gross misrepresentation, wasn't it?)

Yeah, and yellow thought she was the same height as I.

If so, I weigh the same as she.

I wish.

I thought about Seven Cycles but I think frameset starts at around 3K right ? kind a bit for her budget.

You might look into a Ti-Cycles Hyak (http://ticycles.com/TiCycles/hyak_ti.html) A non custom frame is less than $2000, a custom frame is a little over. Even though they don't list it in their specs they have a 47cm frame with 650 wheels- I have one. It's not specifically WSD, but the geometry is compatible with us smaller women (I'm short and long legged, my race bike is a Specialized Ruby).

Mike won at the NAHBS for the best TIG welded bike in 2008 and I'll attest to the gorgeous work. Reportedly he builds for Sacha White (Vanilla) also.
