toe clips or grippy pedals on commuter?

Just wanted your opinion on this. I have a short commute and do errands in the city and don't want to bother with clipless pedals and shoes for this type of riding.

Does anyone use toe clips/ straps or grippy pedals of some type for city commuting? I'm not sure if it's worth making a change.

I use loose toe clips for my commute (4-10 miles each way). I can't be bothered to carry extra shoes (I have nice shoes at work, but I don't like to walk in them at lunch or whatever).

I'm a huge PowerGrip strap fan myself. I use them on both my bikes.
You are not so much 'trapped' on your pedal, but you also can't accidentally slip off the pedal. Love them.

I use strapless toe clips (http://http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=mini+toe+clips&tag=googhydr-20&index=sporting&hvadid=2007152501&ref=pd_sl_203rno150s_e)on my commuter. They're much easier to get into and out of than regular toe clips or clipless pedals.

Yes, I did find them on amazon. Thanks very much. I'll look into this option too.

I used to have the power grips they are pretty good. the best thing about them is that you cannot break them by stepping on them.

I have a toe strap. Just one. The left one broke. But after I broke I realized it didn't matter. I only need the right one, so I can get back up into the power pedal position quickly at every stop sign. Otherwise I probably would not stop at every sign!

On long rides I guess it would be nice to have clipless or two toe straps or something. But for commuting, the one is great, and I can wear whatever shoes I'm wearing for work, I don't have to bring extras.

I hate the sensation of shoes slipping off pedals for the bikes I've rented and haven't been temporarily outfitted with toe clips.

I've never used them but I considered them :o

The pegs just act like grippy teeth.
