Need advice...
I got my PT in March of 2007 thinking I was going to use it to get stronger/faster so I could hang easier with my buddies. I got a book "Racing with a Power Meter" to help figure out the science, etc behind it all. I did the training schedules (with help from a racing guy pal) and LT tests (yuck)..and got quite a bit stronger. I never wanted to race though. I don't have the guts..and am too chicken to screw up my back surgeries.
I pushed myself hard enough that by the end of the year, I'd just about started hurting myself. I think I found my limitations while finding my "groove".
Seems a waste now to have such a nice training tool and not really use it anymore for what it's really meant to do.
Anyway..so that the main reason for thinking of selling. I'm trying to "feel out" the local cyclist market to see if there's interest in my stuff. I'm curious if I'm asking the right price for it. ??
It is a SL unit, but the local Saris guy got me a 2.4 computer head. Why, I'm not sure. I guess you could get a wireless hub and this computer head would work with it...but why would anyone go to the expense? Anyway..
There's the computer head, the rear wheel, and also a matching front wheel. I havent seen anyone around here who went ahead and got the matching front. (The front hub is a little lighter than Dura Ace!) I have a little over 4,000 miles on the 32hole Mavic Open Pro rims - never crashed, fell, or took any serious holes. The rear hub's battery was replaced about 2 mos ago. I'd throw in the book I mentioned too...and all the original stuff that came with the PT.
I paid about $1450. What do you think of $900 for my "slightly" used PT?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
P.S. Sorry about the dirt.. Dang this camera! Shows everything!!!:D
