First Fall

Last summer I had my first fall, due to my husband running into my rear wheel and me squeezing my brakes as if I were in the midst of electrical shock (Gotta love inertia;)). There was a guy behind us who stopped right away and said he used to be a paramedic.

Wow was I glad, because I was hurting. He asked what hurt the most and I explained that it was my hip bone, while proceeding to look inside my shorts for damage.

Later when I got use of my brain back I realized that as I looked for damage I was TOTALLY flashing everything I had to the "used to be a paramedic" guy. I guess I was forgetting that I don't wear underware under my shorts:D:D! I also realized the episode sounded vaguely like the commercial where someone performing a skilled task claims that they had no training, but they did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I hope you get a laugh out of this story!

BTW, that's my right hip, not a pregnant belly!! Have you ever seen an ipod smashed flat? That's what my hip did to mine. My husband bought me a new ipod; after all it was kind of his fault:)

Yeah I'm good. After about 6 months my bruised ribs healed and my lost skin replaced itself with scars. I was scared to ride again for awhile, but I'm back striving for 20 mph at some point during every ride. Watch out squirrels:eek:

Ouch! That is a funny story about the "used to be a paramedic" guy. I hope you recover quickly.
