View Full Version : Cool Tools
Though I'd share some pics of my new tools. Many of these came from a wholesale order that all UBI students are allowed (one order in the year after you graduate). Now I have so many tools that I had to buy a new toolbox with drawers to keep then all organized. First is the two Park beam-type torque wrenches, along with 3/8" drive bits for 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10 mm allen keys, 14 and 15 mm sockets, lock ring tools for Shimano and Campy, and bottom bracket tools for Shimano cartridge and outboard bearing systems. Now my lock rings will always be torqued to 40 Nt-m, and I'll never overtighten a pinch-bolt. Next are measurement tools, including a vernier caliper accurate to 0.1 mm, a spoke-cotter-bearing ruler, a thread-pitch gage, swivel calipers, and an angle-finder. Then the angle-finder in action.

Mebbe you should forget about wrenching for someone else.

hey I wish I could bring my bike to you. even without those shiny new tools, it would be in good hands.
I can't find my cow magnet. It must be stuck to something somewhere.

You can get really nice pliers and measuring tools that you may not be able to find elsewhere here:

Looks like you have everything you need, though! Great set-up! Congrats on the new gig!
