Ok, this morning I decided I was going to go swim. I checked the water temperature (I have a sleeveless wetsuit). 53 Deg. Brrrr....also, lifeguards don't start until tomorrow. I know where to stay in the lake so it isn't deep and sometimes there are people out in the park area so I thought maybe I should go. I tried on my wetsuit (first time this year, it still fits!) and packed it up.
Then I thought about it.
I called DH who said to do whatever I felt comfortable doing.
People say it's not good to go swim in OW on your own. I figured I know where the shallow bits are but even pools have lifeguards.
Being that lifeguards start tomorrow, I guess I will wait until then. DH said he will go with me this weekend, also.
My day is not going as planned
I guess I thank TE for all the OW talk, I stopped myself from doing something stupid. If it WAS stupid....I've been to that lake on my own before but that was last summer when there were lifeguards. I'm thinking for my first swim outside (and a cold one at that), I'm better off waiting.
I am not a patient person. I guess I'll go for a run. Unless someone wants to jump in and say I should go to the lake?
