For those of you that use lights on your spokes for side visibility, what color do you use?

This link is for SpokeLits (they come in green and red)...

I know that normally front and back lights follow suit like a car: red in the back, white in the front.

Just curious is there was a preferred standard for side lighting.

TYIA! :)

I certainly wouldn't put red up front and the reflective portion of reflective tires is white. And something to consider from the most recent RBR newletter:

Comment of the Week

In his "Slow Guy" column last week, Gary Kirkland noted which jersey colors worn by commuting cyclists are more visible to him (day-glo green is tops, he said). That inspired this enlightening insight:

"I owned a printing company for 25 years. The printing industry studies color blindness closely. 30% of the male population, according to industry studies, is red/green colorblind. They see red as black, and red against a dark background blends in. With day-glo green/yellow, if they don't actually see the color, they can see the fluorescent color as a very bright white. My brother sees rescue orange as a light pink up close. At a distance it becomes gray to him, blending in with the background. Food for thought the next time you buy a jersey." -- Chuck Voigtsberger in Ventura, California

Ridiculously expensive, but fun--I got this kit for DH for Christmas: http://www.ladyada.net/make/spokepov/

But of the choices, I'd go with green.
