This fall Joe and I are going to buy new bikes. He already knows which bike he wants. Joe has fallen in love with the Bianchi C2C. He has been to our local bike shop and sat on one. I hope the shop owner cleaned up the drowl he left behind. :p

Now I am having a tough time narrowing down my choice. Here are my top three picks:

6220

6224

6222

6223

So which one do you like? Maybe I can talk Joe into getting me all three! :D

Decisions decisions decisions! And then I can't decide if I want a compact or another triple! Talk about being so indecisive! HELP!

I am completely, 150% biased to the Cannondale. I love mine, she is snappy, comfortable and gorgeous!! My husband and I both ride Cannondales and love them so much we both hoped to find Cannondales as commuters. So that is my biased vote.

Now I will say the logical thing- ride them all back to back and make a rational choice of which one feels best.

how come you called the Cannondale a specialized synapse?
I have heard so much good about the Madone
but honestly ride each one and see which you like best!

Thanks for catching that typo mimi. I corrected the error!

Oh I definitely am going to ride all three! :D

Well, Im super uber biased, and love the Madone. I'm not very educated in the others. But what I do know, is that the availability of the 5.1 is terrible right now. It's being replaced with the 4.7. Same components, but TCT carbon, rather than OCLV. :( So... unless your LBS has a nice stock of the 5.1 in your size, ask them what they've got and how long it's going to be around. Good luck choosing what you want! :o

No opinion on any of your bike choices (sorry), but it's funny you posted because Joe's bike is sitting right here in front of me in my dining room. We brought a teammates bike home from our weekend trip, and it's the same Bianchi. Wow, is that one LIGHT bike. Amazing! He got it a month or two ago after his previous bike's derailleur ate his wheel and rear triangle. He really loves this new bike.

That is funny maillotpois! And I know, it is light. I was with Joe when he sat on it and tried it out. It's beautiful and light. He is very excited about getting it! I'm happy to hear that your friend loves his!

Thanks!

Susan, I'm a Specialized fan and had I fit a WSD, I would've chosen the Ruby. Instead I went with a Roubaix compact double. I don't know what kind of hills you are going to climb, but we have short but steep climbs here. I think you have pretty significant grades there. Don't know what to advise about triple vs compact for you but I've been very pleased with Specialized. If you have any problems with the bike, Specialized is very prompt in correcting the problem.

Try it, Try it, Try it. Don't judge a book by it's cover. These are all beautiful bikes and very good ones. I once bought a beautiful-looking bike without trying it and it was a piece of **^#@.
