I'm loving the spring weather, if only we could ditch all the pollen and grit that gets in your eyes. I think my favorite time of day is early mornings, especially if we have those big huge clouds that make shadows on the ground, when it's still cool outside but you can tell it's going to be warm.

What's your favorite weather to ride in and what's your favorite time of day to ride?

I like spring for the wildflowers and baby farm animals. My allergies go wacky but it is so pretty. That time of year I like to be able to sleep in then ride around 10:00. Of course by late March it is usually sweltering here and I have to get up early.

45-50 degrees... 10-13 mph wind. This 80 degree stuff is for the birds. If I'm riding hard, I want air conditioning!

I know this is going to sound crazy but I love to ride when it is really hot (85 -95 F) and humid (60% or higher). We typically have a warm but humid free summer (May - June) but the hot humid weather has arrived early and I'm enjoying it to the max!

My husband is like that too. He likes working out in the hot, heavy, oppressive stuff. No thank you! My favorite cycling weather would be no humidity, a slight breeze, blue skies and temps in the mid to upper 60s and low 70s.

I like hot and still, but not as hot as it was today. We were 105 with 40mph winds! It felt like a blast furnace outside. Needless to say, I did not ride today.

I'm a wimp; I don't like to ride if it's colder than 40 degrees or if its too much hotter than 65 (especially if there is climbing involved). I guess that means this is my favorite cycling weather--the weather we're having now

YOu are atypical..;) I lived in Ontario where summers are often 90-100% humidity before moving after 41+ yrs. I look to those former summers back in time...as a different sort of toughening up while cycling. ;)

Best type of air quality for a city, is where we live now, fresher air... and temperatures during summer here are heavenly to me..just perfect. I like cycling around 18-22 C. with moderate humidity and no pouring rain. ;)

I actually still have not yet fully acclimatized to pacific sea air totally...I always feel a slight cool edge in the air in non-sleeved garments. It's ok..I still want to adjust to high humidity when I visit elsewhere.

Enjoy late spring, summer and early fall the best here for cycling.

At our house we have a temp cutoff for biking..when it hits 38C or above, we don't ride..

I like 55-70ish, clear, dry. Which in New England is about 2 days a year! I hate riding in heat and humidity, although I do. There are times I exercise indoors if the air quality gets bad in the summer, which happens a couple of times a year.
I don't ride in really cold weather, either. Below 40 is my cut off for road rides, unless it's really sunny out.

I love 15-22c, but hate wind. As long as it's just a breeze, I'm fine.

I'm with Matbike and HoosierGiant...the hotter the better. Now that it’s getting into the 90s here in Atlanta I need to acclimate to the higher temps. It usually takes me about a week and a half, but then I’m back to my usual self.
Its strange that I like the hot weather for cycling...I can't stand it for anyhting else. :)

The past few mornings here have been my ideal. Temp in the low 50s, heading out around 5:20am. Not a car in sight, birds singing, mist rising off the water at all the little ponds and swamps and lakes I pass. Somehow the air is just so much more fresh at dawn. What a fabulous way to start the day!

day after rain when air is clean and you can see for miles and miles. Temperature I like is between 45F (7C) and 75F (23C).

And for once in my life I would love to have steady 20MPH tail wind the whole ride. I like any time of the day.

I like it around 75 F, winds SSE at 5 mph, 30% humidity, and low pollen count. :)

Ideal weather would be sunny and not too windy. I'd say 75-80 degrees would be ideal. I love it when the breeze feels like a relief on my skin.

I also really love my spring morning commutes. I love the birds and smelling the lilacs on my way to work. Things are quiet and still...but I think I like the sunny afternoon rides even better!

I like 70-90 F and wind under 20mph sustained. Like that happens in Kansas.

No it does if you ride between 6:30 and 8 am.

I don't ride then much.

I have ridden when it was in the 40s, too cold on the hands, and as high as 104, hot but as my friend says "you make your own breeze, so lets ride!" My favorite is when it is about 70, with little wind or humidity. Since I've been living in Dallas/Fort Worth I've become a real humidity weeny. I can take it, but prefer not to.

And by the way, over here in Fort Worth we do have hills...not mountains mind you, but hills.

Last week people in my club were making comments about my wool jersey, full finger gloves and Lycra tights when it was 70 degrees and sunny. I knew it was going to drop into the mid to high 60s by the end of the ride, and as the sun got lower I'd be chilly. I was dressed perfectly. :D

Perfect for me is 80-85. I'm not particular about the humidity - I'm not a huge fan of high humidity, but I don't mind it. One thing about high humidity is it really concentrates the flower aromas, and I just love that!

But no wind. I hate wind. For itself, and for the way it stirs up the pollen.

Fall mornings.
That's a big +1! Fall is my favorite season, hands down, and IMO, better cycling weather is not to be found.

I hate riding in high, humid temps. So why do I live in Florida, you ask? For regular paychecks, of course, so I can continue to support my addictions of the two-wheeled kind.
