Dh bought me this cute little jersey (http://store.vanderkitten.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VK300)for my birthday. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that xxl is not the same as a plus size 2X (or that the 2x jerseys in my drawer were actually mens jerseys). It looks like it would fit a woman who wears a size 14 or so. I don't think there is anything on this website that would fit me, so I'm going to offer it here. Looks like it was available for $69, so I'm thinking $50 would be a screamin' deal

In response to inquiry, some measurements to help clarify size:
armpit to armpit (from the seam at the bottom of the arm): about 19.5"
neck to bottom hem in the back: 28"

Laurel- That jersey is too cute, I am sure it will sell. My husband likes to get me cycling clothes and always looks at the tags on stuff I have. He doesn't realize a medium in one jersey won't fit just because some of mine are mediums. I have had to exchange jerseys two of the three times he has bought them. They mean so well. :)

Oh, they do!! It's such a shame though; I really like this jersey and the thought that was behind his getting it.

Does it have an elastic hem? I could wear it if it doesn't. Most jerseys aren't made for pear shaped women.

they don't fit us apples so well either...
The hem is stretchy, but it isn't like a gathered elastic hem. Also, the hem in the back is a bit lower than the front.
I don't know if that answers your question.

I am SO glad the jersey found a happy home!! Because we are TEENY TINY we have to go with stock size grading from the respective company that makes our stuff! This jersey was from Primal, so it was made in whatever their women's cut for custom clothing is.

The next stuff will be cut in a slender/long (the 2 complaints we get: Jerseys tend to be too short, and second is they don't fit pear/apple shapes). These are available now for pre-order on our site. For 2009 we will have more and more designs, and hopefully in a more-generous cut.

If you have a FAVORITE jersey we'd love to hear about it to explore the cut.

Everything Shebeast makes in plus sizes fits me to a T. If there were Vanderkitten jerseys in Shebeast sizes, I'd snap 'em up like there was no tomorrow!

Yep vanderkitten, listen to the ladies... We need jerseys that fit a "rounder" profile.
I'll be at interbike checking out the 09's, and hopefully you are able to expand your size range. I'd really like to carry your stuff in the shop next year.
