Today, a few of us did the Horsey Hundred. We had susan.wells in the Spin Zone jersey (and friend Germaine from Virginia), indysteel in the red (and friend Ed from North Carolina), and the Silvers. Chicago, did you pass us in a big, fast group??????

:DFor me, it was a new record at 110 miles :D(because I missed a SAG and had to go back...a 5 mile mistake!) at 15.7mph.
Hills were EVERYWHERE. We did 8,300 feet of climbing!

It was great riding with indysteel, susan.wells and friends.
Here's silver and indysteel at the finish!

Congrats on a great ride! Way to go on logging 110 miles (even if by accident ;)).
Great pics, too. Thanks for posting them.
If I ever get to liking hills even just a little bit (doubtful), I'll have to come try the Horsey Hundred. BTW- what does the name mean?

BTW- what does the name mean?
This part of Kentucky is THE equine capital of the world. Horse farms everywhere. All the major roads are named after Champion Horses.

You guys had a great day to ride! I wish I could have joined in the fun but I wanted to rest my legs for our very hilly century tomorrow. Hey, why not drive down to Louisville and ride with us? We will be making our way from Louisville to Frankfort via some beautiful but hilly rural roads. Tomorrow looks like another great day to ride.
Looks like the new HH100 century route was much hillier than last years route. You guys did some serious climbing but I know you passed through some absolutely beautiful countryside. The 70 mile route tomorrow is also hilly but like today's route it is beautiful. Enjoy and be safe!

It was a pleasure meeting the silvers and indysteel (and friend). The 70 miles for Sunday was a welcome relief after the brutality of Saturday (Germaine and I opted for the 77 route after lunch). I hope to see all of you in future rides. Until next time tailwinds!

awww you guys look great!! I'm so sad I didn't catch up with you. The bf and I had a big group of peeps that we had to meet... but we ended up riding by ourselves anyway which was fine.
and Mr. Silver, no that group wasn't us... but I think it was the Bike Psycho's which is from Chicago. They pass everyone real fast, LOL.. they're nuts, LOL!!
but wow, what a ride!! I'm tired!! I ended up doing the 104 on Sat, and then 50 on Sunday. I had nothing left on Sunday!!
but it was a gorgeous weekend!! Sorry I missed ya, maybe next time.
oh and here's a pic of the bf and I outside the dorm:D
oh and oh... thanks for the elevation chart!! wow, that is some climbing!!, no wonder I'm tired, LOL!!
