New bike and new to road riding

Hello everyone,
I'm totally new here. I've been riding a moutain bike for 14 years and today bought... a Specialized Ruby Elite, so a road bike. Huge change for me! But it's a decision I made for specific reasons, and I'm very excited about joining this forum, which seems cool. I rode my new bike for 45 mn today, what a different feel: it's going to take some getting used to.
Anyways, if any of you have comments, advice or suggestions about the choice I've made, let me know!

Thanks for the welcome, I can't wait to hit the road today again:D

The one thing I have to get used to is that I only have 2 chainrings instead of 3, that will take some getting used to. Supposedly I have 30 gears, but there is friction when on high gear/smallest sprocket, so I don't think it's true.

I live in Jackson Wyoming, and there are some tough hills and passes around, so I hope I can make it up!

As long as it fits you can't go wrong with a Ruby. They are great bikes. Congrats and Enjoy!
