Just curious if there are any other people on this site who just might be entering the LONDON BIKEATHON for Leukaemia Research on 13 July 08.
I realise most of you guys are from the US but I occasionally see the odd one or two from England.
Don't care, don't care, wanna show off, so far I have raised $1660 plus $366 Gift Aid.
Anyway, if there are any out there, be good to hear from you. :)
Cheers.

Many thanks for your comments Trekhawk.
Very often that is all somebody needs, is just a good comment.
There are so many people doing various things to raise money for so many charities, so I do not expect people on this site to sponsor me. If they do, it really blows me away, somebody giving who I do not even know!
I received a lovely PM this morning from Possegal...........part of PM
Your sponsorship is INTERNATIONAL, very cool.
Now, that's what I call a really fabulous comment. ;)

So, where else can I shout from the roof tops but here. Apart from my partner my friends do not understand my biking thing, they understand I have not been well and for that reason alone, cannot understand why I must ride my bike!
Quite by accident I came across the following link: http://www.justgiving.com/LondonBikeathon?from=UKSponsorExit

Wish I could - I coach for TNT which is the US fundraiser for Leukemia Society of America - I have been involved with them since 1999. Our event this year is the Death Ride in California.
Mostly I wanted to echo the other posters and say Congrats! on your fundraising!! Our family has done a lot of fundraising for the Leukemia Society - great organization and cause.
Have fun!

Just a passing comment for any of you guys who are doing sponsored/charity rides, it can pay off writing to either big companies or a well known individual.
Where I live there is a very expensive area, Sandbanks, it also has the largerst natural harbour in Europe. Anyway, there is a guy who is a millionaire, into property development, one of these local lads made good. (No, I do not live that close to this area unfortunately). :o
He frequently annoys a lot of people because he buys up really nice 4 -5 bedroomed houses in an expensive area, knocks them down then builds a rather amazing property in it's place.

Anyway, I was more than grateful when he sponsored me for $200.
So, always try the old fashioned thing of writing a letter.
