Okay - so I wiggled into the wetsuit. That took forever. :D I'm sitting here feeling rather warm. It doesn't seem baggy, or overly tight anywhere.
It makes me want to suck my gut in all the time though. :D

No lie! :D I feel like a superhero and Shamu all at the same time when I have mine on (doesn't help that it's an Orca brand).

Sounds like it fits just right!!
I get the super hero/shamu thing too. But I love my wetsuit. I can't wait to go out in it!

What lake temperature begins to be comfortable for an OWS? Ours is only about 50 F right now.

I am comfortable about about 60 and above. But my guess is most people will say 65, or that I am a freak!
It always feel really cold when the suit fills up. Do not let that scare you. A few strokes and you will warm right up.

At my tri last month they said the water temp was about 65F. From a pure warmth standpoint my body was fine but I was having trouble with feeling like I couldn't breath, I guess from the cold on my face. Is this something I would get used to with more OWS practice?
My used wetsuit does NOT fit well (too loose in the chest, shoulders, and neck) and I need to find something else. I'm having trouble feeling comfortable with spending $300+ for something I'll use any a very few times a year.

Cold water on the face/head can cause a gasp reflex that can make it hard to breathe. Sometimes splashing water on the face before immersion helps reduce the shock.

Check out the Promotion suits (www.wetsuit.com). They run under $300.

My suit is a Promotion.
I found Blue Seventy Energie wetsuits as 2007 closeouts for under $300. Blue Seventy seems to be one of the few companies that has sizes for women who are too short for their weight. I'm about to order one!

I'm also shorter than my weight. But I guess I'm compact. :D I wear a size ten, but I weigh 155 at 5'5".
I got a large Zoot suit. I haven't swum with it yet. It was 98 degrees here yesterday and I just could not bring myself to traipse out to the pool in a wetsuit at 98 degrees!

We're about the same size and weight (I'm 155 on a good day!). I'm going to try a Blue Seventy size WLA.
