I decided due to the length of my commute (12-24 rolling hilly miles one way) I would be happiest on a road bike outfitted with panniers or a rear trunk rack. I had narrowed it down to a Felt FW4 until I found out it doesn't have the brazes for the panniers. @%#$! I want to keep it as low end as possible, ruling out many road bikes. This bike is the most I want to spend. It is this one or a Giant from a shop I don't care for. :o

Can you put a rear rack on this Felt? http://www.feltracing.com/products/product.asp?pid=76&catid=18,19,26

Maybe I should just go back to getting the Kona Dew Plus, I just don't want flat bars and a long top tube (compared to what I am used to) for a long ride.

no seatpost rack on a carbon seatpost, I hear. Correct me if I am wrong. You can always switch to aluminium.

Here's the thread (http://forums.teamestrogen.com/showthread.php?t=23322) Zen meant to link to. Yes, if that Felt is an aluminum frame, you can attach a rear rack with band clamps. Old Man Mountain (linked to in the other thread) supplies clamps with their racks. Blackburn at least used to, as I used them many years ago.

Thanks guys, I was in a hurry on a break at work. Never bothered to see if anyone asked the same question. I am really coveting those fancy panniers by Basil! :D
