Having just completed my first Tri ever...I am now officially a triathlete. Wooohooo!!!! :)
For a sprint-distance Tri, I think I came in around 1:43-1:45 (exact times haven't been posted yet). Much better then I expected so I'm encouraged about that and am thinking I've found a new addiction.
All in all things went really well. It was a sunny morning w/ temps in the 40's. The wind was tough at 20+ mph. Thankfully parts of the course were protected from the wind, but for the most part it was a battle against the wind more than other triathletes. Good challenge though.
Transitions went much easier then I hoped as well. Putting on the extra layers because of the cold wasn't as hard as I thought. Just had to make sure it was laid out in order of how I planned to put it on.
Anyway... being as I had to get up at 4:45 a.m. to drive to there and now being tired from all the excitement. I need a nap! :p
Oh! The only thing I forgot was our camera. Yeah, I know a photographer that forgets her camera. I was more concerned about tech gear at that early in the morning. My hubby did take some pictures of me in my tri-suit w/ race numbers though so I might post that later. Otherwise, no tri picks till the next one.
