Westby’s 6th Annual Syttende Mai Bicycle Tour

This May 17th tour will take you on the lightly traveled, paved back roads of the “driftless” area in the Ocooch Mountains—a rare part of the Midwest that was not scoured by glaciers 10,000 years ago. You will be amazed by the beauty of the world– class trout streams, rolling hills and emergence of spring foliage (trilliums should be in full bloom!) Several rural cottage businesses will be along the route, and some will serve as rest stops. Feel free to stop and peruse such shops as: Avalanche Looms, Blue Goose Cafe, Wild Things, Country Woman Soap, Kickapoo Reserve Visitor Center, and others. After the tour there will be plenty of food and fun for the whole family at Westby’s Syttende Mai Celebration in Downtown Westby.
$15 pre-registration, $25 Day of event. Age 12 & under, $2.00.
Registration packets for riders over age 12 includes custom bike socks, cheese curds, lunch coupon and other cool schwag!
Event will go on rain or shine.
Registration is at the historic Thoreson House just off the east side of north Main St. on Bekkedahl Ave. Next to the Stabbur Info. Center. Registration open at 7:30 a.m. Start between 8:00-9:00 a.m.
