SPRINGFIELD, Va. — First came love, then came marriage. Now comes Olympic mountain bike qualifying.

Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski and Heather Irmiger, both Colorado natives, met and fell in love while they were members of the University of Colorado's elite-level cycling team in the late 1990s.

In 2006, she joined him on the Subaru-Gary Fisher professional mountain bike team.

Cool article! I can relate to having to date a person who cycles. Even friends with non cyclists can be strange because I feel like I'm always talking about riding, checking out bikes on top of people's cars or ducking into bike shops. I'm glad my boyfriend is as nuts as I am when it comes to bikes.

LOL Yes, I'm blessed in that my two best guy friends aside from my husband share the bike lust. My hubby likes to ride but isn't a nerd about bikes and such as much as we are so I check the bikes out on the sly when he's not looking. :D
