well ....
this weekend was an eye opener
i have been looking at compact for a few weeks... get the pic?

went to a nearby town for a look at all the bikes on offer
My hubbie encouraged me

at the end of the afternoon he is driving the car and says
"go back to LBS and look at the bike you have been drooling over"
so i say
i cant because i feel bad if i dont buy it , i love it (been loads to look and ride it in the confines of the store lot )

he says ok we should go and just see it

(OMG )

I say but why not just buy a compact chain set for my bike
his reply was ( i kid you not he is not a bike boy!!) do you want a new bike or what!!
so meek and mild i enters LBS
look around for ages for "my bike" nowhere to be seen!!
ok ok calm down i tell myself

anyway ask assistant who tells me it is sold

****

ask manager WHO TO????

HE SAYS "GRINNING"

you

woo hoo

the bike is ab fab and i have to say my hubbie is the wonderfullest boy in the world (bought bike without me knowing and had me messing about for a whole afternoon........................ when i could v bin riding

the bike is brill

thanks for taking time to read xx
love Scarlett

My parents did this same thing when I was 9 when they bought me a rabbit for my birthday. I had been fawning over a little bunny at the pet store. They got me to come along to run some errands with them by the pet store. We passed by the shop and there was a "sold" sign on the bunny's cage. I was awfully sad, but then we went in and my dad's name was on the sign as the person who bought it :D Of course, now I know you should definitely adopt rescued pets, but I give my parents credit :)

Congratulations on your new bike and your husband definitely earned points for this!

Scarlett - This was the most awsome story about being surprised on getting a new bike. You are fortunate to be you. Enjoy your new wheels. May you have some more great memories.

Hi all

just tried to upload from mobile (cell) but its new and the sim card thing is real tiny and my pc is not so up to date........ ooh maybe i need to get Geoff to buy me a new one........... now that would be pushing it.

I have been really busy out on the bike and its so good, already i can go up hills i previously would have stopped (for a breath catcher) once or twice,

will do some pics really soon

It is so wonderful to hear a story like this. You are truely blessed to have a husband that listens to what you truely want, then acted on it.
What a love story...
Enjoy the new ride.
