'Tis abit irritating when technology can be tantalizingly tempermental. :(
My partner is in Paris right now.. after Chunnelling and Eurorailing from London, England where he was cycling about and meeting with local cycling advocates.
Technology connections for a travelling mate overseas...in Europe hasn't been much for us so far.
Even email is abit flaky.
When he was cycling across North America in past 2 years (in different trips each year), we managed to webcam 80% of time. But I say I was quite surprised that simple phone connections in some part of rural U.S. where he was cycling wasn't always great either. He was using local land lines to reach me...on land line here at our home. We never used cell phones at either end/both ends.
