ROSSLAND, BC, March 13th, 2005 - Red Resort announced today that Sunday, March 13th, 2005 would be the last day of full operation for the 2004/2005-ski season. Lack of any recent snowfall, accompanied by unseasonably warm weather has reduced the snow-pack to the point where operations are no longer possible.
Jim Greene, Red Resort VP of Operations thanked his staff and pass holders for another good season. “The weather has not co-operated since early January, but thanks to the efforts of our maintenance and grooming staff we have had a very respectable season. Indeed, all our staff have gone the extra mile this year to make our guests happy”.
“We count ourselves as very lucky” stated Greene, “many resorts in the Pacific Northwest never even opened this year and we had some great powder days and fantastic spring skiing.”
Red Resort will operate from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12th and Sunday, March, 13th. Special, late-season lift ticket pricing will be in effect.
 Bring on the rain and melt this pathetic excuse for snow.......I'm ready for biking!
