Hello! I signed up to do the Sea Gull Century with Team in Training (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). This is my first charity ride and the first time I've tried to raise money since selling candy bars in grade school!!

I've made a cover for my top tube to keep it from getting scratched when hanging it or transporting it. A couple of guys at the bike shop thought it was the coolest thing they've seen. It got me to thinking that maybe I can make some to sell to help with my fundraising efforts. I'm including some pictures of it on my bike. I'm trying to gauge the interest in a product like this and get some ideas on what I could sell it for. Thanks!!

I think that making those would be a great idea. It does look very nice and seems like something that a fair amount of people would want. I'm not sure about the price point, but I would say somewhere between 10 and 16 dollars....or so. Very nice and a great idea!

Hey I like this! Can you make them in other colors? I'd get two (one for me, one for the bf).

That's so cute---what a great idea! I love it. If you decide to sell them, I'd be interested in buying one (animal print!!!).

That's a great idea and as you can see there's interest. As far as pricing I think around $10-15, but I don't know how much your cost is ;-)

I just finished my century in Lake Tahoe AMBBR. I also did it with TNT which was an amazing experience. I hope you enjoy your training and get as much out of it as I did :)

The ones I've seen at my LBS are about $15, and yours are definitely nicer!

Great idea!

Yeah, wild prints would be cool, Hawaii prints, metalic, retro looks, go wild! What is the fabric you use? It looks plush? Comfy even. :p

Can you make these out of Century/event T shirts? Or is T-shirt fabric too flimsy?

Does TNT have a logo? Could you work that in? It could help with your fundraising goal as a conversation starter.

If I still had a trunk rack I would buy one of those. Ideally it would have something on the seat tube as well. My bike has some marks on it from rubber straps, like its been dulled. Not very visible but you can notice it on close inspection. I eventually got a fork mounted roof rack. But thats been a disaster in its own way.
