Okay, let's have some fun. I saw a website showing terrible bike lanes in Great Britain. But how about a thread of bad bike parking?
I'll start with this one. You go down about 50 stairs on a steep hill and find this bike rack. Pass the bike rack and walk another 150 feet to a street. It is in the middle of a power line greenbelt, not near any public places at all.

Is that a bike rack or a "don't ride your skateboard down these stairs, you doofus!" barrier?

either way, pretty dumb.
We found another dumb bike rack too, but no photos of it today

but wait, if that WAS for skateboards, how did they get UP the path? or if it was for skateboards, how did they get down those steps? I am SOOO confused.:confused:

maybe it was for mtbs. Or clutzes like me who fall and tumble down the stairs and need something at the bottom to stop them rolling into the street.

That's sure looks like a barrier to me. The area looks pretty darn inviting for for stunts.
And that bottom rail on the barrier is far too high for bikes - at least for rakes I've seen.

It's a Klutz Brake!
although I usually fall UP stairs.

they skate on the railing.
I do it all the time :p
Mimi, where is that? Is that on Beacon Hill by 14th Avenue South, or west Seattle off of 19 Av SW?
