Is anyone interested? I'm happy to organize it if there is enough interest. Let me know. How about another T-shirt exchange?

I would like to do it! As long as I don't have to organize it this time! Not that I don't like too. I did it the last two gift exchanges. I want to be on the other side this time. Does it have to be bike shirts though? I have a ton of them.

I am in! How about something summery (or winter if you get a southern hemisphere gal). That could mean a t-shirt or something else? :D

I think it's been over a year since I participated in the SS exchange! I'd love to join in this time...especially since we are finally 'settled'.

I'm game for any type of exchange except water bottles...we've got way too many of those already!

I've sat out for about a year, too.
I'll play this time.
How about a general "Get outside and play" theme? A little something to encourage all these fine people to get on their bikes, go for a hike, enjoy some fresh air and sunshine (regardless of your season).

I would like to join in as well. I want to be able to know everyone here a little better since I am new to the forum. Can we do something within a reasonable price range?? I like the water bottle idea.

I don't need anymore water bottles so if it became that exchange i would bow out. But t shirts have not been ruled on yet.

I'm in, I haven't joined in on one for quite some time either. I'll go with whatever. It was fun last time I did it.

Just so all are clear on my statement.

I just suggested it as an example of what might work. Yes, if you get specific they could run from $5-$20 US. Whatever is decided if we have to purchase many of them, I could see this becoming expensive. I do not think most would want to run up their bills on this. I don't know??? Because I have never been in on something like this before.

Perhaps I need some education in this matter?

It's like a Secret Santa exchange. Everyone who would like to participate puts their name in the hat - in this case PM the organizer with your name and personal info by a certain date. The organizer will then PM you the info from one of the other participating TE members. You only have to get(buy/make) for that one person.

Right now we're only on the preliminary stage where someone suggests doing one and people weigh in if they want a certain theme. Some of the ones in the past have been water bottles from your local LBS, sharing favorite books, coffee/tea from a local roaster/tea house, winter gear, etc.

Once the theme is decided than the organizer(s) will ask for a head count and ask for pertinent info. Like your size if it's going to be a t-shirt exchange.

I hope that helps,

~Sg:)

I missed out on the coffee exchange. Planned on joining, but too late acting on that thought. So count me in this time. I'll submit a US adress in case of a SS from the States. That'll save her all the extra postage of mailing to Norway. Also, if she's prepared to be patient, I might mail my gift from the States in June, but then again ... why wait. Postage isn't all that exorbitant from here. :)

Last time I played I got someone out of the country, didn't even know you had to do anything special for that. Or maybe it was when we did the Christmas cards once and I found out. Talk about a shock when you don't know any different. LOL
I didn't mind but it was definitely more expensive.
Now I know what to expect. ;) LOL

I just want to clear this up for myself, May theme means we shop for it in April and have it sent by May, correct?

I'm still looking for coffee.

OK, maybe I need to drink more of what's actually in my cup. Have thoroughly enjoyed the various exchanges, and the surprise prezees that have arrived in my mailbox. The coffee thing apparently didn't work - either that or she really didn't like New Orleans roasts and disappeared off the planet. Or the someone between here and there liked the coffee and it didn't arrive in her mailbox.

I'll quit grumbling now.

Another exchange?! Goodie! I likes my TE sisters :)

I would like to join in too. I like getting real mail on occasion.....and I like any excuse to send real mail too.

Thank you sgtiger on your education on the subject. I guess for some reason I was thinking that each one of us had to purchase for say 20 people not just one. Of course 20 T-shirts could get expensive and that was my concern.

Anyway, thank you for straightening me out on all of this. Since this is the case, one item..I can handle that. So whatever the collective majority wants to do I'm up for it.

I'm game. I really enjoyed the December one (though I think I didn't mail to my SS until January, but it got there eventually!). I would love to play again! Beats getting more bills in the mail. :)

DDH, here is how I work this. First, I'll set a cutoff date. Those who wish to participate must let me know by the designated date that they are interested. I'll post a date and all you have to do is send me a PM with your personal information. Second, you will have from the match date through the end of May to make your purchases and mail them to your selected SS. If for some reason you are going to be late in mailing your package all I ask is you let me know so that I can let your SS know she has not been forgotten. Also, if by the end of May you have not received your package I ask that you let me know. I'll send a PM to the person responsible for your package to see where they are in their shopping and mailing. This has, as far as I can tell, worked well the two times I've organized a SS exchange. If I'm wrong please someone let me know so I can revisit my process.

If you have any questions let me know.
