No, I didn't need it. But it's sooo cute..... It's Pearl White, and I swear, it's no bigger than a DVD case. I have a new traveling laptop.

DH and I have been drooling at those:) They look pretty cool, but I haven't been able to find one locally to play with:)

Hmmm, wonder if it would fit in the Banana Bag.....

I couldn't find one local either - I took a chance that I'd like it. I've wanted a tiny laptop for travel for awhile, but they are so expensive. This guy can't be beat for the price.

Okay, puh-lease... about what was the price? A link, perhaps? (drooling onto my days-old macbook)

This is mine:
Asus eee PC 8G (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=2005&l1=24&l2=0&l3=0&l4=0)
I paid $499
There are also 4G and 2G models, they start at $299 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=asus+eee+pc)
Oooo...I've been eyeing the 4G in green. It's just so cute it almost hurts.
And practical. Of course. Cute *and* practical. Yes. That's what I meant.

But why not the iPhone. Isn't it smaller, cuter and cheaper?

I'm not a lover of all things Apple. ;)

We've been looking at one because of the keyboard - I can't manage the little screen keys on the I-phone. They drove me nutty (not that that was far....)

This keyboard is small and takes some getting used to. I have to pay attention to what I type, my fingers hit the wrong keys pretty regularly. :p

Oops. That's not good.

No, no, didn't mean anything by it. Just a random comment. Keep it, it's your avatar after all.

That's cool. I already have a really tiny (but full function) laptop-a Dell Inspiron 700m. People comment on how small it is all the time.
My only complaint about it is that I can't see the screen outside in the daylight.
How about that ASUS? Can you see it in the daylight?

I have that one, too! I love it! I used it so much that the finish around the touchpad area is completely worn through. Now it sits on a shelf in my living room and feeds mp3's to my home theatre system.
(Confession time: I'm addicted to tiny gadgetry.)

I just ordered a new Macbook last night. I've never had a Mac before, so it will be a whole new thing!
Dear son is getting the Dell as a hand-me-down.

I'm curious: now that you've had this little laptop for a while, how do you like it? Do you have any problems connecting to a wireless network? Any other issues or concerns? I'm considering getting one of these ( Best Buy now carries them and I have several gift cards to redeem). Thanks!

I'm still playing with this and learning, when I've got time. No problems connecting to my wireless. The keyboard is reeeeeeealy tiny, I find it easier to type with two fingers, rather than try to use it like you would a full sized keyboard.
I still use my regular sized laptop more often, but the Asus is perfect for travel (which is the main reason I wanted it)
