After months and months of waiting my wife's new Madone 5.1 is finally here. Initially ordered in August, the ordered was delayed when the LBS changed hands, so after waiting forever it has arrived. I was at the shop when the UPS truck arrived. It'll be a few days until I can snap some pics, but the LBS is letting me built it up for her. So should have it home tonight or Friday.
And for those wondering why I post all the time rather then her. I run my business on the computer, so basically online all the time. She has been studying Medical Acupuncture for about 6 months, and should finish in April/May, so with 2 young children, and a solo practice, she has been buried. Every free minute is spent either studying or trying to get a little time with the kids. So I doubt she'll be able to enjoy her bike for at least 6 more weeks. But it's here and that is a good thing.
Since I've gone off topic a tad, I'll continue on, she just found out she as an opportunity to help out at the local wound clinic. While it might sound awful, they do some really cool stuff. After completing her acupuncture studies, she'll start more classes on wound healing - although I don't think they are nearly as intense. So by the end of the year she'll hopefully be doing acupuncture in her practice, sharing a rotation at the wound clinic, and giving up call and OB - yeah!
Thanks for listening...
