I am into Triathlons (Road) But the guys at work convinced me to get a mountain bike, lol. I want to get a full suspension bike- I was looking at the FSR XC. Though I am going to get the women specific...... anyone have this bike or plan on buying it? Heard anything good or bad about it?
Thanks.

That's Specialized right? They build pretty nice rigs. Make sure 1000% about the fit, don't get talked into WSD just because you are female. It's great if it fits but WSD is for a specific set of body proportions. If you are outside that range you'll do better with a regular ( men's) bike. You'll also have more component choices if you do not go with WSD.
here's what I say on my biking site about WSD:
It's a great concept, geometry and frames just for women. This concept is for a specific body type: women who have a short torso and long legs. I ride a men's 15" Kona which fits me beautifully. I have a longer torso. Don't get locked into WSD, but go ahead and try it and see if it's right for you. For some women, it's exactly what they need. Try lots of bikes until you feel the one that's right for you. Some things you can change out on your bike are smaller brake levers, shorter cranks, and more narrow handlebars.
If your LBS (Local Bike Shop) is insisting that you try WSD, or only WSD, and treating you in a condescending manner - "hey little lady, we know what you need..." Run, do not walk, to a different shop. You deserve better than that. Try lots of different bikes.
find what fits, and then ride it like you stole it. :D :D :D

I agree with Irulan on bike fit, and would like to expand upon her views.
I happen to fit the "WSD" profile to a "T". Short in stature, long legged, short torso...BUT I've raced for the past ~8 years. I like to be stretched out on the bike. I have good core-strength and flexibility. I keep telling folks in the industry "sell to the rider, not to the gender."
Have fun on the hunt! :)
