I had heard the rumor in the PT clinic (one of the staffers is his patient too), and in today's mail I got a letter from my GP. He's leaving N.O. and moving to Kathmandu, Nepal! Part of me is excited for him, but more of me is hurt. I DON"T WANT TO FIND A NEW DOC! I wish things would stabilize. I'm tired of turmoil. Really really tired.
But tomorrow I'm heading out for a week long camping trip. And life will be better, right?
I still don't want to have to find a new doc, but don't have a heck of a choice in the matter. Dr. R's letter stated he'd reassign patients, so I hope I get someone who knows something about sports medicine. I really appreciated the work he put in to get me breathing and riding at the same time. Most of my boo boos have been cycling related, but not riding was never an option with him. He never recommended I stop riding, take it easy sometimes, yes, but hang up the shoes, no.
Kathmandu is getting a good Doc.
